I heard your voice

For five minutes...

And my heart still won't
Stop talking about it.

My head wishes it would,
As it is being mocked;

For in it's certainty,
It failed miserably
To be right.

For five minutes,
I heard your voice.

It was soft like home,
With a drawl I could drown in,
That I wanted to drown
In,

And it drenched
Me and quenched
Every thirst I've
Ever had

To have you closer to me
Than you've been...

On the other end of the line.

For five minutes
I heard your voice...

Now,
It's one day later,
And

I still cannot
Stop spinning.
