One Flight Down

I'll never understand
How he can be so mean to everyone.

He intentionally drives people away;
With his rhetoric
And politics.

And I don't understand that.
Because I just wanted to be his friend.

He has to be right about everything.
And I used to really look up to him.
Because I believed like him.

But now,
I just see him as weak.

It doesn't matter how intelligent
Or loud
Or overbearing
Or controlling
Or arrogant

You try to be;
You can never over-power
Someone with a heart of love.

That is the most powerful thing of all.
